We take for granted

There are so many things in life we take for granted

We take for granted that the sun will always be there to show us the world in a beautiful light

But when it is gone or you lose eyesight you will see how much it means to us

We take for granted that there will always be other people who can be our friends

But if you are not careful and treat your friends with respect, you will end up alone

We take for granted that there will always be a job waiting somewhere

But if you don’t look for it and make an effort, you will miss your opportunity

We take for granted that some day we will all have a family to take care of

But if you don’t look for a partner and commit, you can wave that family goodbye

We take for granted that the love of our lives is out there waiting for us

But if we don’t look, we won’t find

We have become use to that things are there when we need them

But some day they won’t

Don’t ever take things for granted, not even the little things, and certainly not people
